Local Feature Artist: Lori Frank
Lori Frank is an Edmonton artist who describes her painting style as an impressionist realist. She spends hours in Edmonton's beautiful river valley photographing some of our better known hiking trails and bridges, giving them new life with her unique painting technique. These images can be found in her Stairway to Heaven, Trailblazing and Connector series.
“I have a passionate love for nature, specifically our river valley, the ocean, flowers and all living things. My art is intentionally created to uplift the observer or to evoke strong emotions of peace, joy, strength and serenity.
Do you have a favourite trail, stairway or bridge of our beautiful river valley that you’d like me to paint? Or, do you have an idea for a great location? I’m open to painting anything that you think would be a fit and I’d like to hear from you. I have now painted 40 paintings of Edmonton's beautiful river valley and look forward to continuing to capture it one painting at a time.”
